Six Years...

March 21, 2005 -- Jeff Weise, 16, shot and killed his grandfather and his grandfather's girlfriend. He then drove to school where he shot a security guard before going on a killing spree inside Red Lake High School. He killed 9 people and injured 7 before killing himself in front of a classroom of terrified students. It was the worst school shooting in the USA since Columbine.

November 8, 2005 -- 15 year old Kenneth Bartley entered the principal's office of Campbell County Comprehensive High School where he attended school in Jacksboro, Tennessee. Opening fire with a small-caliber handgun, he killed Assistant Principal Ken Bruce and injured Principal Gary Seale and Assistant Principal Jim Pierce. No motive was apparent.

November, 2005 -- The Supreme Court allows Jefferson County Sheriff Ted Mink to decide whether or not to release the Basement Tapes to the public. He calls in advisors and questions the families of the victims about the matter but doesn't actually reach a decision about the tapes until the next year.
